At Craig Fine Portraits, we have always believed that each wedding is a once in a lifetime event that must be captured in it's entirety, beginning to end, with feeling and romance.
The photojournalistic style of photography has been around for many more years then some would have you think, the candid, spontaneous moments have always been a part of how I look at photographing a wedding since the beginning.
Capturing the love and the laughter of this special day, telling the complete story along with beautiful romantic portraits, and excellent family portraits, is what makes Craig Fine Portraits stand out from the rest of the photographers.
Most of today's "photojournalistic" style photographers, have not mastered the skills to provide you with beautiful family and Bride and Groom portraits, as well as the must have formal and family portraits.
When a wedding photographer lacks the portrait skills needed for these important portraits, they leave the couple with the feeling, after the wedding is over, that all they got was a large amount of nice snapshots, so look close at their abilities on both parts of the photography you will want to have covered.
The art of not holding the camera level is now very popular, and although the "tilt" shot adds fun and a playful feeling to the right image, it can be overdone very easily if your not careful. You can always add the tilt after the wedding in post editing, even very exaggerated tilts.
Some traditional and portrait photographers fail to realize that there is more to this special day then making just portraits, and limit the coverage to just a small select group of photographs know in the trade as "the sellers".
We have successfully combined the two styles of getting the formal portraits in a beautiful way, and that of capturing the joy, emotion, happiness, romance and feeling that will happen during the course of the wedding day.
